Written documentation on this uniform:
April 1899: “The new uniforms are entirely different from those worn by any of the teams in the Eastern League. […] Red, white, gray, black, blue and the other colors have become rather monotonous and the new color, green, will be an agreeable change. The pants and shirts of the new uniforms will be of bottle green color with white trimmings. The stockings, belt and caps and the monogram, W.-B., will be white. Two neat narrow stripes of green will be sewed on the caps and the coats will be of the same color. The uniforms are of the best material and were made by Spading Brothers.” From the Wilkes-Barre Sunday Leader, April 23, 1899.
April 27, 1899, Wilkes-Barre v. Richmond, at Wilkes-Barre, Athletic Park, opening game: “The Barons looked very well in their neat, bright, new uniforms of green with white trimmings.” From the Wilkes-Barre Leader, April 27, 1899.
