Dated 1888. Old Judge baseball card of C Parsons (Jackson, MI Tri-State Lg 88, Min 88). Full view at left, detail view at right. Photo date of 1888 can be determined as this was the only year Parsons played for team. Player wore a gray uniform with a dark-colored lettering, belt and stockings. The cap was vertically striped with a white braid along the bill. Detail view shows that player wore a shirt with lace ties, a shirt pocket and detachable sleeves. Dated 1888. Old Judge baseball card of F Rehse (88, 2 gms). Full view at left, detail view at right. Photo date of 1888 can be determined as this was the only year Rehse played for team. Player was not dressed in the complete team uniform. He wore pants made of a lighter colored material when compared to the shirt, a striped undershirt and non-baseball shoes. Detail view shows city name in smaller letters across chest. This lettering style matched the Minneapolis uniform from 1887 and therefore this may be a uniform shirt for the previous year. April 1888: “The new uniforms of the Minneapolis team arrived yesterday [April 2] and are regarded as quite pretty. They are brown, with red hose and belts and striped red and black caps.
